Senior Science Olympiad

The NFO Science Olympiad examination, which takes place annually, aims to test students' competency in science and is based on the syllabus provided by CBSE/ICSE and other State Boards. However, the examination paper also includes a section on Applied Science, which enables students to develop a deeper understanding of how science is applied in the real world.
By aligning with the ICSE, CBSE, and State board syllabuses, the olympiad of Science provides a solid foundation for school children to thrive in Science. The competition helps students develop a strong knowledge base, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities that will serve them well in their future academic and professional endeavors.

Structure of the Olympiad
Level 1
All the students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to take part in Level 1 (Only).
Level 2
The top 1000 Olympiad rank holders between 4 and 1003 with minimum marks of 50% and above.
Class 1st Rank holders with minimum 75% marks and 100 participation in the respective subject from the school.
Level 3
International Olympiad 1st rank holders of Classes 6th to 12th from 2nd level will be eligible for level 3. Level 3 will be conducted in Kota, Rajasthan.

Examination
The Olympiad is organized in the respective schools of the participants during the school hours. The structure of the event stands as the following:

There will be a different question paper for each class. All the questions are objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.

Class 5-10

Total Marks: 100
Duration: 40 Minutes
(i) Section-1: Science
(ii) Section-2: Reasoning and Aptitude
(iii)Section-3: Scholar’s Zone

The medium of the test is English only.
​
The Olympiad is conducted annually on two dates in school premises. The school may opt from the two dates suggested for the Olympiad examination. Each date of the Olympiad exam has a separate set of question papers.
Registration of Students

The schools must return the Registration Forms, properly filled in and complete in all respects, by the due date to the Foundation.

Note
Principals/teachers may please note that any school can become a registered centre for the Olympiad of Science
No fee is required for the same. Only for feasibility reason, a minimum of 20 students need to be registered from the school.
